Alexandra Young Design is a bespoke interior design studio known for its warm and elegant style. We are BIID registered and a House and Garden The List Gold member. We blend classical pieces with contemporary furnishings to create interiors that are practical yet timeless. We draw on an intuitive eye for colour and knowledge of luxury furniture and fabrics. Our fresh ideas and organised approach deliver smooth and efficient projects which lead to repeat business and client recommendations. 

The Role: We are currently looking for a Freelance Marketing and Communications Co-Ordinator. 

This is a key role at a time of growth for the company and will focus on building and promoting our brand, developing and implementing our marketing and communication strategy, digital strategy and partnership marketing. In addition, keeping our website current and engaging and managing our social media. 

Note that this is not an Interior Design role but will benefit from someone with a knowledge of the industry. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Work with the Director and her team to develop the brand and execute a strong marketing and communication plan. 

• Define and implement a successful digital strategy including our website and social media channels. 

• Use SEO and tracking tools to monitor engagement. 

• Continue to build relationships with industry partners, suppliers and press contacts and take part in industry events. 

• Design and produce promotional material

• Arrange and attend project completion photoshoots 

• Assist with the set up and preparation for occasional company events - create promotional material, manage communication, and attend these events. 

• Keep our profile on the BIID website and The List House and Garden profile up to date • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posts. 

• Create, edit, and upload content across all our social media platforms. 

• Monitor and respond to online comments, direct messages, and reviews to enhance customer experience and build relationships. 

• Photography to use on social media and to develop our image bank of professional images. 

• Stay up to date with industry trends 

Key Skills: 

• Previous experience in Interior Design or knowledge of the industry. Recent graduates welcome 

• Marketing and communication qualification and/or experience 

• Able to demonstrate successful brand development 

• Strong understanding of digital platforms including management tools and analytics 

• Creative thinker who is able to generate new and engaging content 

• Excellent organisational skills and an attention to detail is essential 

• Ability to meet deadlines, effectively and with a high level of accuracy. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on your own 

• A self-starter and team player 

• Present yourself professionally to represent the company in different environments 

• Experience of Mac based Microsoft Office, digital platforms and Squarespace including video editing for Instagram etc 

• Knowledge of Estimac, and InDesign would be a bonus 

Location: Can work remotely but you must have the ability to work with our team from our office in Micheldever, Winchester regularly 

Salary: Dependent on experience and hours agreed 

Type: Part time – hours to be agreed. Please note this is a freelance role.
