FURNITURE ARTISTS COLLECTIVE MEMBER:

Andi Gregg Art, Lincolnshire

As a fine art furniture artist based in Lincolnshire, I bring a unique approach to my craft. My passion lies in creating stunning designs that embody nature's exquisite beauty. Combining my skills as an upcycler and an artist, I transform vintage and antique furniture into functional pieces of art adorned with my freehand watercolour illustrations.

My work is unique by nature. It's freehand painted and inspired by the nature around me, so it's never mass-produced. I design, create, and offer you a window into the natural world through the medium of art. Each piece I create is carefully chosen, lovingly restored, and adorned with passion and purpose in my signature watercolour style.

Not only do I have a signature style, I also have a signature piece, which continues to be a client favourite. Dressing table sets are definitely a passion and something I'm delighted to create. From a delicate Queen Anne style to a more robust Edwardian, my clients always come back for more. Which is always wonderful and something which continues to define my style.

As I work mostly by commission with private clients and interior designers alike, I'm adept at bringing my clients' visions to life. This skill is especially important when working with the medium of art, as translating the essence of a design is a collaborative process. It helps my clients really visualise their finished projects. Through colour, artistry and expression, this process is also fun, with excellent client feedback every time.

I always say that my vision at Andi Gregg Art is to inspire the art of the possible; this is my mission every time. I am very proud to be the founder of a purpose-led, values-driven brand that goes far beyond artistry and design. At the very core of my purpose are my clients, and my ultimate aim is to delight them. I aim to awaken that creative spark and bring new energy to vintage furniture. Creating showstopping pieces is and always will be my ultimate goal.

I have been a part of the furniture refinishing industry for over 10 years. I am very proud to have achieved recognition throughout this time, with a feature on Annie Sloans online publication and an appearance at Grand Designs Live being just two. At Grand Designs Live, I took part in Ask an Expert and spent time discussing the wonders of upcycling, sustainability and the circular economy with Grand Designs visitors. It was amazing to be an ambassador for the industry and a cheerleader for our sustainable ethos. Also, I have recently been involved in a collaboration piece with the wonderful British homewares brand Olenka Design. But ultimately, these experiences have been truly amazing, allowing me to push past boundaries and elevate my creativity.

Looking ahead to the future, my aspirations are to continue growing and to keep creating beautiful pieces that are more than just furniture. To create treasured heirlooms, statement pieces and conversation starters. All in the name of art, sustainability and for sheer joy. But most importantly, it's to reimagine the beauty of nature, bringing its very essence into my clients' interior spaces. Elevating my designs to become a window onto the natural world through exquisite artistry and artistic expression.
