Ab rogers to speak at biid conference, design invention: art and science collide, in june 2013

The interior design knowledge of former cabinet maker and sailor, Ab Rogers is worth his weight in gold. The BIID Member is a globally renowned designer with an MA from the Royal College of Art, where he is now the head of interior design. As the Institute is getting ready for the second BIID Annual Conference ‘Design Invention: Art and Science Collide' in June 2013, we are delighted to announce that Ab will be among the speakers!
Ab Rogers' multifaceted work includes designing for hotels, restaurants, retail environments, domestic interiors, museum exhibitions, websites and brands, with past clients such as the Pompidou Centre, Tate Modern, Science Museum, the Australian Centre for Moving Image, Conde Nast, Pizza Express, and Price Waterhouse Cooper. It is evident when looking at Ab's projects that design invention and the continuous integration of new technology plays a major part in his work. The BIID Annual Conference 2013 will explore different areas of design invention, both past and future. It is very exciting to have someone who can be considered a heavy-weight on the topic included in the conversation.
Ab Rogers and his fellow speakers will be tackling questions such as ‘What impact will new technologies have on the interior design profession?', ‘Should interior designers change their thinking to fit a shifting creative landscape?' These and many more questioned will be debated at the BIID Annual Conference 2013 ‘Design Invention: Art and Science Collide'.
