BIID Launches new CPD Tracker

Published on

BIID moves online learning and CPD tracking to the BIID website.

Since its launch in 2016, the BIID has worked with an external partner to offer interior designers The BIID Knowledge Hub, a website where users could log on and access free BIID accredited CPDs in the format of online e-learning. Members could also use the platform to add activities to their education tracker to submit to the BIID at the end of each year (a requirement of BIID Registered Interior Designers only).

As of 1st June 2021, we will no longer be partnering with the external platform, replacing this with our new internal BIID CPD Tracker in the BIID Member Area.

BIID Registered Interior Designers are required to accrue 10 hours of structured activity and 10 hours of unstructured activity a year and these can be recorded via the following methods:

  1. On the new BIID CPD Tracker – accessed via the Member Area.
  2. On the BIID CPD Tracker Template – an excel sheet we have created for you, please email the office for a copy if you would like one.
  3. On your own template – make sure you include the following details: name of activity, date completed, category (structured or unstructured) and hours spent undertaking the activity.

For those looking to access our BIID accredited online CPDs, they have all been added to the BIID CPD Providers Directory (just search the ‘online’ category to see the full list). These e-learning modules are free and open to all and include some fantastic guides on topics such as fire door safety, zero-carbon buildings, dementia and town planning, and sourcing ethical rugs – to name but a few.

We are also excited to announce the launch of exclusive member content in the Member Area; Peer-to-Peer Guidance , Pathway Support Guides , and on-demand webinars. All designer membership tiers are welcomed to access the e-learning available. The CPD Tracker is currently only available for Registered Interior Designers to access.

Thank you to all our members that have utilised the BIID Knowledge Hub over the past years. We look forward to assisting you with these activities via the BIID Website going forward.
