Chelsea Design Centre Re opens
From Monday 15 June the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour are welcoming visitors back to enjoy its remarkable world of design.
With new measures to help make sourcing safe, the Design Centre has opened its doors once again in a hugely positive step not only for the Design Centre, but also for the design industry.
The safety and welfare of its community of showrooms, colleagues and visitors is a priority, and adhering to government guidance, it has applied significant social distancing measures. Clear information and wayfinding signage have been placed at key locations and temperature checkpoint devices can be found in in all ground floor lift lobbies and at the North and South entrances. It is continuing a rigorous cleaning regime and there is increased accessibility and visibility of hand sanitisers at multiple stations.
In the last weeks, designers have adapted to a virtual reality, but what has been missing is the personal connection we all need for inspiration. At the Design Centre, there is an abundance of expert guidance at every turn.
Interior design has never come under greater scrutiny or become so central to our lives. People cooped up in their houses are craving change - professional designers have taken on new work and are completing existing projects. The specialist know-how all under one roof at the Design Centre helps meet deadlines and move forward.
Nothing beats seeing beautiful products in person. After weeks staring at a computer screen, it will be an uplifting experience to return to see the dramatic use of colour and pattern once again. Details like scale and finish will really come to life, allowing professionals to see the quality of elements such as hand-applied finishes, which add so much depth to many designs. The Design Centre also celebrates makers, skill and craftsmanship, and is committed to keeping supply chains going.
On hand, too, is the complimentary Designer Sourcing and Personal Shopping Services. They know the showrooms inside out and can help and advise with any sourcing requests.
