BIID champion’s interior design and interior designers on both the national and international stage so it is important to work with a company who can assist, regardless of geographic location. As they mark their second year with BIID Clockwork Removals and Storage take a look at the work they have carried out for designers across the UK.

Leeds

Teams in Leeds and Sheffield cover much of Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. They recently assisted a BIID member with a client’s home renovation.  Checking and warehousing furniture prior to the project installation: Unwrapping, checking and then re wrapping all items and adding them to a spreadsheet with images so the designer had a visual record.  Clockwork’s team then delivered and fitted all the items at the client’s property. The design client found that, with their help, it was easier for them to snag and install, this process saved them lots of waiting time on site.

The busy Leeds team have also been installing designer furniture into a luxury development in the centre of Leeds. It took a total of seven days to move all the furniture into the first block of apartments across six floors and 39 units. The crews moved beds, sofas, dining tables and chairs throughout the building as well as all the furnishings for the amenities and outside terraces. They look forward to finishing the final two blocks by the end of this year.

Oxfordshire

A Clockwork team in the South of England have just conducted an extensive project for an Oxford based hotel. The property has been sold so all the furniture in the bedrooms and public rooms needed to be cleared and delivered to three different hotels in their group.

This large relocation project was conducted over 11 days. Over 100 boxes were needed as well as 20 roll cages for delicate light fittings, oversized mirrors and countless glass covers for bedside cabinets. All fragile items were treated with the utmost care, expertly packed and wrapped by the team for transit and storage. Due to the move being carried out in a hotel there was a very high number of beds to be moved, including many huge four posters. These oversized and bulkier items could not fit in the small residents lift so crews carried all the furniture down the high, but very beautiful, sweeping staircases.

Scottish Highlands

This week the team in the Scottish Highlands completed on a procurement and installation project for a London based designer for a client’s home in the North of Scotland. The Studio have been delivering their clients furniture to the Inverness storage facility, to be condition checked then logged and detailed onto a shared spreadsheet. All items were then delivered, built and installed at the client’s newly renovated home.
