Financial Support for Interior Designers Due to Covid-19

Published on

We have looked at the financial support packages available that might be ending soon.

Over recent months COVID-19 has impacted peoples lives in many ways, including financially. Many interior designers have had work put on hold or cancelled altogether and for many it has put their entire livelihood in jeopardy. Over this time the BIID has done its best to keep members informed of any financial support available through articles such Coronavirus Advice for Interior Designers.

As the months have passed some of the financial support has reduced including the amount available through the Furlough scheme. However while reduced, there is still some support available for those who are struggling as a result of COVID-19.

Are you Self Employed?

Applications for the second and final Self Employment Income Support Scheme grant are now open.

The second and final taxable grant is worth 70% of your average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single instalment covering 3 months’ worth of profits, and capped at £6,570 in total.

If you’re eligible and your business has been adversely affected on or after 14 July 2020, you must make your claim for the second grant on or before 19 October 2020.

Visit the government website to find the full criteria.

As we mentioned unfortunately the Furlough scheme is no longer open for new applications unless someone is returning from parental leave. However some of the business loans made available can still be applied for and can be found here. Get the full details of support available for business.
