Nla hosting a day of free consultations with interior designers, 25th january, 2014
NLA
– London’s Centre for the Built Environment, together with the British
Institute of Interior Design, Heal's
and RIBA London, is hosting a day of free one-to-one consultations with
architects, interior designers and style consultants for anyone looking for
advice or inspiration on how to extend or improve their home,
Saturday 25 January, 11:00-16:00.
Events
take place at both The Building Centre, W1 and
Heal’s, Tottenham
Court Road, W1 on Saturday
25 January. Free
half hour consultations are open to anyone looking for advice on their own home
extensions – suitable
for those who are well underway with a project or those simply wanting advice
on where to start.
Advice can be given on issues from
design, planning and construction; colours, finishes and styles; to cost
planning and budgeting.
At NLA, all architects and interior designers offering consultations have been shortlisted in this year’s 'Don't Move, Improve!' competition to find the best and most innovative home extensions, small office conversions and interior design in London. The competition sought to find the best ways to create more space to live and work in London saling, and was open to architectural practices, interior designers and members of the public who completed extensions or refurbishment projects in London within the last three years. There will also be a lunchtime talk offering practical advice on planning and budgeting for a new home extension.
Heal's will be hosting style consultations, including advice on interior design, colours and textiles at their flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, a 5-minute walk from NLA.
