The four storey layout of this grade II listed residence was completely redesigned with a side extension added to create a dining area with dramatic architectural glass roof. To balance and soften the crisp modern lines, we introduced soft shapes and curves on the ground floor, highlighting with a gold and rich spice palette. Sophisticated lighting with warm woods, luscious fabrics and sculptural pieces were used throughout. Tailored storage was created with clever use of space beneath the walnut, slate and brushed steel staircase to create a bespoke wine store. The external deck area was crafted with hand-thrown clay pots, architectural planting, bamboo and olive trees. Back-lit copper panels provide a wonderful focal point particularly in the evening.
