Helen McClure

Helen's design story begins by looking at the world we live in. She has a keen interest in the world, culture and how we connect with our environment, having lived, studied and worked in the UK, Singapore, the US and UAE.

With additional exploration of more than 65 countries, she has gathered inspiration and ideas from travel. She believes that exciting designs are created when you juxtapose interesting elements together: old and new, cultural cues, colours and texture.

She has a passion for history and heritage, and believes we can respect our past, connecting with it, while developing something new and exciting, creating harmony between form and function.

Helen holds degrees and professional qualifications in interior design, journalism and history, and has been in the industry for around 17 years. At Home by Design is based in Surrey.
