Elevated above the animated streets below, this double height pitched roof apartment creates a calm retreat for its occupants, a Parisian family. The design responds to the scale of the space and is characterised by a sense of simplicity and understatement.

Chevron flooring in fumed oak creates visual harmony and a tone of softness and restraint which is complemented by the pale walls. A sense of balance is created by the inclusion of high skirtings, and the use of low level surfaces in the bespoke dark satin oak kitchen. Detailed to replicate free-standing furniture, the proportions of the kitchen respond to the volume of the space, which is subtly animated by natural light throughout.
