Located in the heart of Kensington, Albertine Commons is a refined common parts project inspired by the timeless grandeur of Claridge's Hotel. The design objective was to marry high-traffic practicality with a sense of residential luxury, ensuring the building's first impression is one of both prestige and warmth. The entrance hall is anchored by traditional honed marble flooring inset with classic black cabochons, creating a rhythmic, geometric foundation. This is complemented by bespoke specialist-finish wall panelling in a soft, light palette, designed to catch the light while providing a durable, luminous backdrop.
As the design transitions into the residential corridors, the sophisticated tone is maintained through rich strie carpets that offer both acoustic comfort and visual texture. The walls are finished in soft stone hues, serving as a neutral, calming canvas for the architectural details. To complete the scheme, windows are dressed in a subtle baby blue fabric, adding a delicate "lift" of colour that softens the transition between the interior and the Kensington streetscape. Through this meticulous selection of materials, Albertine Commons has been reimagined as a luxurious sanctuary, proving that communal spaces can feel just as curated and personal as a private residence.
