Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery is individual, modern and rich in stories told through art and design. The existing building was a jigsaw of spaces around an atrium. This we transformed with the installation of Mappemonde sculpted by George Lappas for the 1988 Venice Biennale, converted into an installation that soars up to the rooftop. Inside the hotel, there are hundreds of original artworks by Greek artists as well as the “Iconic Object”. Part of the MGallery experience, this is an item of special local significance. Athens Capital’s Akrokeramon reimagines a traditional Athenian architectural feature with a touch of street art.
The interior design aesthetic celebrates the elegance of pure lines and noble materials and subtly integrates Greek symbols and patterns. White Dionysus marble is combined with gold accents and vibrant blue, synonymous with Greece. Together, design and art create a hotel full of meaning and soul.
