Castrads project

Beata Heuman at 188 Hammersmith Road

Set within a restored Georgian villa in West London, Beata Heuman’s studio and showroom at 188 Hammersmith Road is an expressive yet highly functional space, bringing together colour, craftsmanship and a sense of play.

Each room is carefully layered, balancing soft, muted backdrops with moments of bold colour and pattern. A palette of warm whites, creams and buttery neutrals sits alongside confident accents from gentle sage greens to unexpected reds—creating interiors that feel both composed and characterful.

Our cast iron radiators form a quiet but integral part of the scheme. A combination of Mercury and Grace models in Ceramic White is used throughout, chosen for their ability to sit harmoniously within this nuanced palette. The soft, neutral finish complements the surrounding tones, allowing richer colours and textures to take centre stage.

Elsewhere, radiators are treated as part of the composition, integrated into seating, set within fireplaces or used to frame a space, reflecting a thoughtful approach to both form and function.

The result is a richly layered interior where utility and decoration work as one, demonstrating how considered heating can support and enhance a distinctive design vision.
