Calacatta Super Gold: Warmth in Natural Stone

Calacatta Super Gold has the brightness associated with the Calacatta family, but its palette moves decisively towards warmth. A luminous ivory-white ground is crossed by gold and amber threads, broader ochre and rust veins, and occasional deep brown lines. Their density changes across each slab: intricate passages give way to open areas of pale stone, creating a surface with both movement and visual breathing space.

At close range, fine branching lines reveal the complexity of the natural pattern. Seen across a full slab, the shifts in colour and scale give each piece its own composition. In a bookmatched installation, the veins meet in a symmetrical arrangement that makes the marble an architectural feature.

The living room image shows this effect on a full-height wall. Pale upholstery and a quiet palette give the veining room to take focus, while the generous white areas keep the setting light. The same balance works for kitchen islands, vanity tops, stairs and furniture surfaces, where the warmer tones can connect with timber and neutral finishes.

For Max Marmi Carrara, selecting and arranging the slabs is central to the design. Each one offers a different relationship between colour and open space, allowing designers to shape a focal point around the character of the stone itself.
