With a brief to refurbish and redesign the interior, creating as much space as possible. This beautiful mews house was originally a stable. One of the best features in each bedroom is the original arched ceilings. We had to remove all existing walls on the top floor to enhance this special feature.
We were able to create a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom from a very small cupboard – knocking down two walls and putting in a sliding door system creating a good size shower to create.
Flexible ground floor space incorporating the kitchen, utility, lounge and dining area, was achieved by designing a moveable wall system into the house, the sliding doors could be stacked together to open up the whole room or closed to keep the kitchen and utility area separate. The built in storage units finished off the room and created yet more storage!
Although we design in many places around London, interior design Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, Waltham Green, Mew style properties are by far our most favourite to redesign!
