Our brief was to create a comfortable country home for a London-based young family. They wanted traditional design references but playful styling.
We worked with the architect to design an extension providing additional bedrooms, extended ground floor living space and guest accommodation and gym were created ni a separate garage annex and garden room.

Taking inspiration from traditional dramatic study design, we combined a strong red wall colour with stone Bolection fireplace and dark stained bookcases for a striking backdrop to the owners work from home video calls and in-person meetings.

Bespoke dark stained oak bookcases line the walls of the study and accommodate Porta Romana cane-wrapped wall lights with linen shades.

We sourced contemporary pieces with traditional hallway furniture references: Combination of grey oak hall table with drawer storage, gilt wall mirror and ceramic table lamp.

We introduced vaulted ceilings into the bedroom, the additional volume adds to the drama of the space and allowed us to introduce a stunning light fitting. Patterned wallpaper is layered with accents of coral pink mohair and soft blue cashmere curtains. The same blue palette is then combined with marble and brass in the en-suite bathroom and dressing room.

The family bathroom was tiled with dramatic lilac veined marble and Samuel Heath bronze brass-wear installed.
