The Cotswold Project by Novaco Designs seamlessly blends traditional charm with modern luxury, taking inspiration from the timeless beauty of the English countryside. Situated within the idyllic Cotswolds, this project encompasses both contemporary design and traditional elements, creating a home that is both comfortable and elegant.

Inspired by the Grade II listed property’s historical significance, our goal was to restore its original character while enhancing its functionality for modern living. We carefully reintroduced original elements, such as reinstating fireplaces and adding panelling to create an interior which is richly layered to evoke the properties history.

We worked closely alongside our clients to select a neutral colour palette that features soft warm whites paired and complemented by beautiful burnt rust tones and warm greens. This thoughtful colour pallet creates a welcoming family home that allows for spaces of retreat. Antique pieces were selected to add character and charm to each of the spaces. Creating a family home that is comfortable and cosy.

Novaco Designs was appointed to optimise the flow and functionality of the interior, ensuring that each space maximises usability while retaining the properties historic charm. Architectural details, like the addition of panelling and the restoration of fireplaces, were vital in reviving the property's character. Contemporary modern pieces of furniture were selected alongside antique pieces to balance character and charm with cosiness, beauty and modern day living. Layered textiles, including linen drapes, woollen throws, and handwoven rugs, further enhance the tactile experience, providing warmth and comfort throughout. Fireplaces were restored to create warm focal points, while the original large windows were retained to allow natural light to flood the interiors, seamlessly connecting the indoor spaces with the surrounding landscape.

The bedrooms in the Cotswold Project are designed as tranquil sanctuaries, featuring soft low level lighting, focal headboards, and minimalist decor to encourage relaxation. Each room is uniquely personalised with antique furniture, and carefully curated artwork that reflects the client’s tastes. Giving this home unique character and charm.

The dining room, which is situated between the kitchen and the entrance lobby, is a transitional space and acts as the spin of the house. It also serves to entertain guests, and allow the family together, panelling was added to elevate the space, with bespoke joinery. Mid Century furniture was selected to create a juxtaposition, and give a contemporary look whilst complementing the interior.

The Cotswold Project by Novaco Designs is more than just a home it represents a lifestyle. This exquisite retreat honours the beauty of its surroundings while providing all the comforts and conveniences of contemporary living.
