Design Studio

Throughout 2020, our team has been hard at work designing and building our brand new purpose-built interior design studio, nestled in the Sussex South Downs, just a stone’s throw from Brighton and Hove. Despite the pandemic, we have been lucky enough to be able to continue our build throughout most of 2020, adapting to working in a Covid-safe manner, and thus have experienced only minor delay, which is to be expected in a build of this scale. Finished in time to ring in 2021, it’s a case of new year, new design studio.

Our two-storey Studio provides much-needed space for our team of interior designers, having rapidly outgrown our previous studio space. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the exterior of the structure has been designed in keeping with the traditional style of the adjacent buildings, and has a barn-style appearance when viewed from the outside.

In contrast, the interior is a contemporary open-plan design featuring an exposed steel-frame with steel trusses over the double-height spaces. We’ve incorporated a mezzanine floor with a perimeter balustrade and various flexible internal spaces, including a meeting and presentation room, kitchen, living area and various open expanses allowing for complete flexibility and the ability to host events and client presentations.

We intend to use our new studio in a flexible and out of the ordinary way over the coming years. Not only providing a space for our teams to work from on a day to day basis, but also as a showroom space. Throughout our design process, we specified products from our most trusted and valued suppliers, utilising cutting-edge technologies and designs. Our favourite suppliers will be able to to use our studio as a showroom – somewhere for us to showcase all the fabulous suppliers and tradespeople we work with on a daily basis; and a chance for our clients to see these wonderful products in action, as well as our design capabilities and standards.

Bringing together a myriad of interior design elements including lighting and small power electrical design, bespoke joinery, sustainable heating technology in the form of an air source heat pump, kitchen and sanitary design, and finishes including flooring, ironmongery, wall coverings, decorative lighting elements and bespoke and off the peg furniture and accessories. The space will be ever-changing; keeping the finishes feeling fresh and contemporary is of utmost importance to us. We want our clients and friends to experience something different every time they visit us
