Undertaking the complete renovation and interior design of an historical English country estate, in need of major refurbishment and updating, Amanda Meade and her team have created a substantial family home that successfully marries the historical importance of this property and its stunning setting with the comfort and needs of a modern family. 

Prioritising her clients' lifestyles, the listed status of the house and the need to bring the property into the 21st Century, Amanda delivered the complete modernisation of the house and ancillary buildings whilst working within the confines of the heritage and conservation status.

"In 2011, our family moved to Osberton Hall and embarked upon a complete renovation of the house, gardens and stables.
We interviewed several interior designers with varied profiles and finally chose Amanda Meade who started work here in January 2012 . Whilst we saw some fabulous work from some great designers, we felt that Amanda was more in tune with our own personal taste. She was also the most flexible in terms of her ability to visit the site on a frequent basis. Some designers were proposing half a dozen visits to site within their proposal which we felt was just not personal enough. After spending some time looking through fabrics and getting a general feel for what suited us, Amanda provided us with some wonderfully inspiring mood boards, including some beautiful sketches which were then worked up into CAD drawings. The ideas from these have chopped and changed as we have gone along and I'm now very much looking forward to seeing the end result.
Amanda has great taste, but is also able to work within a sensible budget if required. We have sourced things from antiques fairs and auctions as well as top end suppliers. She has an all round impressive list of contacts in all fields of interiors and antiques. She has turned what was a seriously daunting prospect in to an enjoyable learning curve and has proved to be a real asset and most importantly a pleasure to work and spend time with.

Amanda appears to have boundless energy and a true passion for her work to which she shows complete commitment. She most definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty, working around her own busy family life. It was important to us that we worked with a designer who understood modern family life and that we wanted our house to be very much a family home. As a Mother, Amanda is most definitely in tune with the requirements of a busy family and a country lifestyle.
