BIID Student Design Challenge 2018
Primary tabs
Event description
The BIID Student Challenge is back! Now in its fourth year, this one day CAD-free design competition is open exclusively to final year Interior Design and Interior Architecture degree students from across the UK. The event is being generously hosted once again by renowned design company Herman Miller in their stunning Aldwych showroom in central London.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We are inviting course directors to select a team of 6 students to travel to London and compete on behalf of their university. Teams will be given the top secret design brief on the day and will have just 6 hours to develop a design proposal, before presenting their designs to a judging panel led by BIID President Gilly Craft. First, second and third place will be awarded to the designs that have met the brief in the most creative and original way.
Attendance to this event is £50 + VAT PER TEAM consisting of 6 students and 1 optional course director, leader or lecturer. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. We will provide paper and students are asked to bring pencils, pens, modelling materials and anything else they might need along with them. No computers or tear sheets will be permitted.
