Do you want to find out more about how the latest connected home technology can be seamlessly integrated and concealed to enrich your interior design scheme and your client’s experience?
The BIID and CEDIA, the trade body representing the professional connected home industry, invites interior designers to attend an exclusive one-day Design and Build Conference, sponsored by Control4, taking place at the luxurious Hotel Okura in Amsterdam on Thursday 13th February 2020.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The packed programme will include a BIID accredited CPD; a panel discussion featuring integrators in conversation with BIID Registered Interior Designers; and, a guided tour of relevant parts of the neighbouring Integrated Systems Europe show focussing on audio-visual, lighting and shading, home control, and other automation technologies for the home.

09:00 – 09:30 – Arrival and continental breakfast
09:30 – 09:45 – Welcome from Giles Sutton, Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement at CEDIA.
09:45 – 10:30 – CEDIA Designing The Connected Home CPD – from home cinema and invisible speakers to automated lighting, security and wi-fi, find out how technology can be integrated seamlessly into your designs, how this affects the available space and what benefits it can bring.
10:45 – 11.30 – Control4 Seminar – 5 Levels of a Smart Home: Presented by Brad Hintze, Director of Marketing at Control4, you'll learn about the current state of smart home technology as he explains the five levels of a smart home and how those levels can provide different support and care for your clients in their homes. You’ll learn the difference between limited integration and whole-home integration, the art of automation orchestration, how technology can improve wellness in the home today, and where the future of smart home is going. Get ready to improve the living experience of your clients by incorporating automation into your designs with this innovative understanding of smart home technology.
11:45 – 12:45 – Panel Discussion – What Should Designers Know About Home Technology?
