New Designers 2026: insight into the next generation of interior design
For BIID members, the show is particularly relevant. Interior and spatial design sits alongside furniture, textiles, ceramics and material focused disciplines, reflecting the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of interior practice. The 2026 edition marks the first time the event has adopted a single, unified format, with all design disciplines presented together across four days at the Business Design Centre.
New Designers has long been a place to observe emerging approaches to sustainability, making and material use, as well as evolving attitudes to wellbeing, reuse and responsible specification. The event programme also includes talks, awards and partner activity that address professional development and routes into industry, with the British Institute of Interior Design contributing to discussions around future-facing interior practice.
Attended by studios, educators, recruiters and manufacturers, New Designers provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with graduating designers and assess how the next generation is shaping interior and spatial thinking. For BIID members, it offers practical insight, inspiration and the chance to identify future collaborators at an early stage.
New Designers takes place from 1 to 4 July 2026 at the Business Design Centre, London. BIID members benefit from complimentary trade tickets register today to secure you space and tell your network you're attending to support next generation designers.
