Private View: Kenwood House, London
Parker & Farr
welcome BIID members to an exclusive one off tour of Robert Adam's Kenwood
House on Hampstead Heath. English Heritage owned and run, Kenwood House
is one of London’s hidden gems perfectly positioned in a parkland landscaped by
Henry Repton.
BIID members will be taken on a private ‘after-hours’
tour around the House, the art
collection and the breathtaking interiors including the library of architect
Robert Adam.
The tour will be followed by drinks and nibbles in the
majestic Orangery overlooking over the grounds to the lake hosted by Parker
& Farr. On the tour English Heritage will discuss the perfectly preserved
Robert Adam interior architecture whilst Parker & Farr will explain how
they have worked with Robert Adam experts to exactly replicate seating for
the listed library and interiors using the same traditional methods as when the
originals would have been made.
