Family Home - Ascot, Berkshire

Set within a beautiful stucco-fronted property in Ascot, Berkshire, this was the second home Marina Hughes Interiors designed for her client.

Moving into a substantially larger property, the brief was to create a sophisticated and cohesive interior while retaining a selection of much-loved bespoke pieces from their previous home.

The studio developed the space planning, furniture layouts and FF&E scheme, carefully considering the scale and proportions of each room and how the client's existing pieces could be successfully integrated into the new surroundings. These were complemented by new bespoke furniture, decorative lighting, window treatments, artwork and accessories, all individually selected and specified for the property.

Rather than starting again, we built upon the client's existing collection, combining familiar pieces with new designs, materials and finishes to give each room its own identity while maintaining a consistent design language throughout the home.

The result is an elegant and highly personal family home that demonstrates Marina Hughes Interiors' ability to combine space planning, bespoke design, furniture and FF&E specification, procurement and final styling into a considered and beautifully resolved interior.
