Family Home - Radlett, Hertfordshire

This complete renovation of a family home in Radlett, Hertfordshire, was designed to reflect the family's unique cultural backgrounds, personal tastes and way of life, creating an elegant yet highly functional home for raising children, entertaining family and friends, and building lasting memories.

Marina Hughes Interiors developed the project as a comprehensive interior architecture and interior design scheme, considering the spatial planning, furniture layouts, lighting, bespoke joinery, finishes and decorative details as part of one cohesive design vision.

The contemporary open-plan kitchen and dining space became central to the new interior. A statement marble-effect island creates a natural gathering point, complemented by bespoke bar stools designed with sculptural backs and upholstered in a bold chevron fabric. Large-format porcelain flooring was carefully set out diagonally to visually connect the kitchen and dining areas and enhance the sense of flow between the spaces.

Throughout the home, detailed design and technical considerations were balanced with bespoke furniture, lighting, carefully selected materials, artwork and FF&E, allowing practical family requirements to be incorporated without compromising the overall aesthetic.
