Awards Sponsor Q&A: Alexanders
Alexanders tell us about their multi-award-winning removals and storage company
Please tell us about Alexanders?
Alexanders is a multi-award-winning removals and storage company. We were named ‘Company of the Year’ by West London Business in 2022 and were also awarded the coveted title of national ‘Domestic Mover of the Year’ in 2019 by the British Association of Removers which is the highest accolade in the removal industry.
The company provides bespoke moves and stores for a wide variety of high net-worth and celebrity clients alongside businesses ranging from globally renowned fashion houses to embassies. We consider the white glove service we offer to be unrivalled amongst our competitors.
This year Alexanders is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, having started out as a man-and-van operation in 2002. Over the last two decades the business has grown year-on-year to become one of the most recognised moving brands in the UK.
What are the services you offer?
We offer a full range of moving and relocation services for both domestic and commercial clients.
With the ability to store for our customers in both our self-storage warehouse in North London and our new Heathrow warehouse we can provide a complete end-to-end service for our clients.
Our team of wrappers and export packers ensure that every item is securely protected and handled with the utmost care when arriving at our facility or when delivered to its final destination.
We create bespoke solutions tailored around our client’s individual requirements.
How can interior designers work with you?
We have been working with interior designers for many years and have significantly grown this part of our business.
We work with Kelly Hoppen, Godrich Interiors and Mia Karlsson Interior Design to name just a few. Alexanders helps to streamline logistics for designers, providing a fully a managed service leaving them to focus on other parts of their business.
Our completely flexible service covers collection and consolidation, photographic inventory, supplier quality control, secure storage and delivery to either one or multiple destinations.
When we embark on a project with an interior designer, we assign them their own personal Move Manager who is their single point of contact throughout the process. Our Move Managers liaise with the designer to fully understand the scope and timescale of each project in order to create a solution that meets their business needs.
Each project is planned meticulously from start to finish. Attention to detail is what sets us apart, in everything from the smallest element to the most complex issue. Our interior design clients know that with Alexanders their project is in safe hands.
What are you most looking forward to about the BIID awards ceremony?
We are delighted to be sponsoring the BIID Awards this year and are thoroughly looking forward to the ceremony in October.
Our team love seeing the amazing interiors that our clients create, with a little bit of help from us on the logistics side, and so it will be fascinating to see this year’s winners and their fabulous designs.
From a business perspective we are looking forward to chatting to other BIID members and discussing possible projects and partnerships. We are always happy to talk through our services so do please come and say hello!
