The owners of this historic Grade II Georgian house needed a drawing room suitable for both relaxation and gatherings of the entire extended family in their second home, therefore the spatial layout and function was carefully considered by Sally.

The starting point for the decoration was the bespoke hand-painted silk wallpaper, combined with other luxurious finishes, such as shagreen, lacquer and gilding for the furniture and an eclectic selection of accessories, including 1960s American lamps and a Swedish Rococo cabinet. As with all Sally Dernie projects, it seems as though the room has evolved over time.
