This two-bedroom flat, nestled in a stunning period building in South Kensington, underwent a complete refurbishment to fulfil the client's vision of a warm, sophisticated, and modern home that harmonizes with the original features. The revamped material palette embraces warm colours, textures, and matte finishes with brass fittings, achieving an understated luxurious ambience. Carefully selected furniture and fabrics with soft shapes and textures enhance the comfortable atmosphere, while subtle muted tones in a few pieces add interest without overwhelming the scheme.

The full remodel included upgrading sound insulation, electrical systems, kitchen, bathrooms, heating, carpentry, and finishes. New windows were installed for improved heat retention and sound insulation. Striking original coving, damaged in previous renovations, was recreated with a mould, providing a delightful finishing touch.

The layout was redesigned, relocating the kitchen and living room to the front to maximize natural light and high ceilings. The master bedroom was moved to the quieter rear, featuring an en-suite for a fully secluded and comfortable master suite. The result is a thoughtfully transformed space that seamlessly blends modern comfort with the charm of the original architecture.
