Green Wall to improve indoor climate using the Mobilane LivePanel system

An optimal indoor climate is very important because it directly affects employees’ well-being. Relatively small adjustments can already have an impact. Placing plants in the room is one of them. The relative humidity in rooms with plants, for instance, is on average about 5% higher than in rooms without plants, according to WUR. In winter, that improvement can even reach 17%. Therefore many companies add natural greenery to improve indoor climate.

German company G+K Gebäudetechnik is very familiar with air-conditioning technology, it is one of the main activities of the Zittau-based company. However, G+K’s company building itself had very dry air. Thomas Kurzke, managing director of G+K Gebäudetechnik therefore wanted a plant wall. Firstly because of its attractive appearance, and secondly, and most importantly because the wall’s greening significantly improves the indoor climate. The plant wall is deliberately planned in the reception area, so that both visitors and staff benefit. The space is open, allowing the air purified by plants to spread throughout the building.
