A New Day Interior Design Studio project
Heath House
A Grade Il listed townhouse at the edge of Hampstead Heath — extended into the loft, upgraded for the next century, and designed to feel as though it belongs entirely to its setting. Delivered in collaboration with Fraher architects and garden designer Ula Maria, it is a project about patience, craft and quiet colour.
The brief, in the clients' own words, was 'pretty inchoate.' They knew they wanted something calm, minimalist but liveable. Our job was to draw that out and push further than they would have gone alone. An organic palette — greens, warm neutrals, pinky beige, inky blue, buttery yellow — was built around where the house sits: up in the trees of the Heath, light shifting through the canopy. A double aspect living room is formed as a listening lounge and family TV snug. Sustainability was central: gas out, air source heat pump in, eco-friendly paint throughout, materials chosen to endure. Every handmade piece — by Galvin Brothers, Pinch, Another Country, Lozi Design — was selected to last. Our first Grade II listed project, leading the way to a further four now completed or in progress.
