A New Day Interior Design Studio project

Hill House

A second project for a returning client family, delivered in two phases as their needs evolved. The house worked — it just didn't feel like theirs. Our task was to give it character, then come back and take it further when they were ready.

Phase one addressed every bedroom: new flooring, bespoke joinery, and a double reception room given shape and purpose one side warm and social, the other pulled into something moodier with dark-painted walls and mid-century pieces. Phase two brought the kitchen into its own with a new extension: walnut and rich toffee cabinetry, slate worktops, a low curved banquette at the dining end. Bold and unexpected but everything earns its place. The bedrooms tell their own stories: the principal suite retreats into quiet while a son's room brings the sunshine. It's a house that knows which mood each room calls for, and commits to it.
