Amanda Meade Interior Design Ltd project

A Historic Scottish Castle

A Historic Scottish Castle, bought by a London property developer and his wife to be restored to its former glory while being developed into a modern day health and wellbeing centre. With this double role under one historic roof Amanda Meade re-designed and furnished the interiors of the castle while creating a functional health spa for the business.

Penninghame House had been neglected for some time and had at one time been used as an open prison. Amanda Meade Design worked closely with her clients to restore the properties on the estate and design a home to suit them both and to create the working areas for the health centre.

"I have known Amanda for 25 years and have watched her career progress, when we purchase Penninghame House in 2000 we had no hesitation in asking her to undertake the project of helping us renovate and redesign the various properties on the estate. Amanda worked with us from initial inception through to completion of the project and we have been delighted with her work and the end results. Amanda is very easy to work with, very practical capable and 'hands on', is always inspiring and has huge energy, commitment and dedication to her work. She has over the years built up a wealth of knowledge of her profession and has impressive contacts in all areas which made the whole restoration process far less daunting for us." - Client
