Holland Park Townhouse
For this classic stucco terraced townhouse, we transformed the kitchen with handmade furniture painted in Little Greene’s Livid, finished with antique brass handles. Simple, beaded based units with a more ornate Georgian panelled wall and tall units bring a timeless feel. Despite the darker furniture, the overall atmosphere is bright and fresh with warm, soft tones.
A busy family home, with a nanny and a chef, the kitchen is designed to be hardworking. It has multifunctional appliances that make the most of the space, including a bespoke finish Quooker boiling water tap. A walk-in pantry is perfect for storing dry food as well as crockery and serving plates. Natural quartzite worktops with marbling are as striking as they are practical, and a bi-fold dresser keeps the coffee machine and breakfast items within easy reach of the table.
The antique mirror along the length of the worktop bounces light around and makes the room feel wider; while discreet LED lighting under the wall units provide bright task lighting but can be dimmed for a more intimate atmosphere. A truly versatile space.
