Hotel Bar

This hotel bar project in Cumbria transformed a dated, cramped space into a warm, welcoming destination for both dining and socialising. Rich dark greens and earthy wood tones create an inviting atmosphere, while carefully considered lighting pairs contemporary Tom Dixon wall lights with traditional fringed pendants to add warmth, character and contrast.

A generous bar extends the length of the room and wraps around the corner, providing plenty of space for guests to gather, with comfortable bar seating encouraging people to linger. Artwork and thoughtful styling complete the scheme, adding those all-important finishing touches. The design also celebrates the area's salmon fishing heritage through subtle references, including a vintage fishing box, oars and fish-inspired artwork. The result is a cosy, characterful community hub that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to its local history
