After more than two decades, it was time for Budapest’s first post-Soviet era hotel to be renewed so that it corresponded with contemporary guest expectations. The lobby is now a glowing expanse with a new staircase sweeping up to the function rooms above. Space has been captured for a bar with street entrance while the new lobby lounge offers a modern interpretation of Budapest’s coffee house culture. The restaurant has been re-designed to provide an informal dining experience and what used to be a shopping arcade has been transformed into a chic destination lounge.
