Listone Giordano project

Iceland Parliament Hotel

Located in the heart of Reykjavík, just steps from the Icelandic Parliament and the city’s most iconic landmarks, this prestigious hotel is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. Developed across seven buildings, both restored and newly constructed, the project has returned an important architectural heritage to the city, combining historic preservation with contemporary hospitality.

Particular attention was dedicated to the restoration of the former National Telephone House, a landmark building overlooking Austurvöllur Square. Today, together with public spaces such as the Telebar and Hjá Jóni restaurant, it contributes to a vibrant destination that welcomes both visitors and locals.

The interiors combine Nordic elegance with refined Italian craftsmanship. A defining element of the project is the extensive use of wood surfaces on floors and walls, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere throughout the hotel. Several solutions from Listone Giordano’s Natural Genius and Classica collections were selected to characterize the different spaces: Foxtrot Natural Oak, from the Natural Genius collection, enhances the exclusive suites with its distinctive geometric pattern, while Slide Biancospino and Slide Special Colour introduce movement and contemporary character through their dynamic design. Listone 90 Oak, from the Classica collection, completes the material palette, contributing warmth, continuity, and timeless elegance across the hotel’s public and private spaces.

Designed by architect Paolo Gianfrancesco, the project demonstrates how innovative wood surfaces can become an integral part of the architectural language, connecting heritage, design, and hospitality in a unique Icelandic setting.
