The size of the extension in this client’s home gave us the opportunity to plan a kitchen that maximised the space and allowed us to create a beautifully symmetrical design. The abundance of natural light meant we could play with a deep and rich green colour on the cabinetry. Contemporary pendant lights and a veined ceramic splash back added impact.

A large kitchen island incorporating a sink, seating, storage and a wine cooler was placed centrally in the room directly underneath the large roof light.As the owner is a passionate home cook, a large part of the budget was focused on the appliances and elements of the kitchen that would make life easier when cooking. A Quooker tap, larder units, full-height fridge freezer, double ovens and a stainless steel 75cm-wide gas hob were all included, along with lots of storage.
