This project is a log house holiday home in Japan, designed around a jungle-inspired concept interpreted in a refined and understated way. Rather than a literal jungle aesthetic, the design focuses on calmness and elegance through subtle references to nature.
Sheer fabrics woven with lustre yarns and botanical motifs, including fern and foliage patterns, are layered throughout the interior. These are paired with monochrome furniture and lighting to create a balanced atmosphere, while the kitchen counter features contrasting stone materials that add texture and depth. A carefully chosen colour scheme highlights the natural ageing and character of the log structure over time.
