Turner Pocock were commissioned to design a restaurant in Chelsea for a young team aiming for Michelin stars. They wanted the design to be formal and sophisticated and to set them apart from their competitors. The site had to accommodate 65 covers in the main restaurant with a separate private room and bar area for up to 14 guests. The restaurant had to be sensitively designed to suit lunch and dinner dining.

Since opening the restaurant has received fantastic reviews from eminent food journalists:

‘Medlar will prove irresistible to discerning foodies’ Daniel Darwood, Fine Dining Guide

‘The intimate dining room is as elegant as the food’ Hedonists Guide

‘A restaurant like Medlar doesn’t come along very often these days, which is reason enough to hurry there’

Fay Maschler, Evening Standard

Its well worth a visit!
