THE AIM

St. Andrews, Morar Living’s flagship home, epitomises the essence of luxury living. To ensure the luxurious feel, Morar Living took great care in their design approach, ensuring the home represents the exclusive quality of a 5-star living experience. This vision was brought to life with the experienced advice of Jenny Robertson, the home’s talented interior designer, whose considerate approach ensured every detail contributed to the home’s unparalleled style and comfort.

THE SOLUTION

Jenny worked closely with danfloor to choose the perfect flooring for several principal areas within Morar @ St. Andrews. For the six luxury bedroom suites, the golf-inspired clubhouse bar, and the games room, Jenny opted for the Origin design from the Evolution Carpet Collection. In the home’s cinema room, she opted for Geo Form, also from the Evolution range. The collection’s innovative and on-trend nature made it a well-suited choice for these spaces. Origin fuses traditional elements with a modern flair, with its plaid designs creating warmth and sophistication while keeping a contemporary, stylish edge. This optimum equilibrium of character and modernity aligned seamlessly with the home’s luxurious and warm atmosphere. The Geo Form carpet in the cinema room served as a striking focus point, infusing the space with energy and vibrance. Its geometric pattern provided a dynamic component, adding a touch of life and intensifying the room’s overall atmosphere.

• Extreme durability – The Evolution Collection boasts certification to British Standard classification 33, signifying its resilience for “Heavy Commercial Use.” This accreditation ensures its capability to endure substantial foot and wheeled traffic, as well as withstand rigorous commercial cleaning procedures.

• Antimicrobial yarn treatment –The Evolution Collection features Bi-Ome®, an advanced permanent antimicrobial treatment specifically crafted to eliminate harmful bacteria, including those responsible for infections such as MRSA and C. Diff.

• Spill safe – All of the selected carpets have an integral protective membrane, preventing liquid spills from penetrating through to the subfloor, reducing contamination, fungal growth, and unpleasant odours.

• Naturally Sound absorbent – Danfloor carpets exhibit excellent sound absorption characteristics, surpassing a 28dB reduction in sound impact levels. This contributes to the establishment of a “therapeutic environment,” fostering relaxation and effective communication for individuals within the space.

• Appearance Retention – Crafted from solution-dyed Nylon, the Evolution Collection presents a colourfast system that locks in vibrant hues. This ensures exceptional colour and light-fastness, maintaining their brilliance even when exposed to rigorous cleaning chemicals.

• Reduction in fall injuries – In contrast to hard surface floors, carpeting has been shown to decrease injuries resulting from trips and falls. Research indicates that older individuals exhibit greater gait speed and step length when walking on carpeted surfaces compared to vinyl.
