Just as the Mykonos capital, Chora, tumbles down the rockface to the Aegean Sea, the Mykonos Riviera nearby is terraced down the hillside, a central corridor weaving its way through the buildings like an ancient alleyway, opening-up to spaces with captivating views of port, sea and town.

Engagement with the location is everything and many of the public areas are a sequence of outdoor spaces: the roof terrace with pergola which serves as the all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant and the infinity pool on the first level, all offering numerous vantage points to soak up the views. By contrast, the reception lounge is under the pool, so glazed holes have been punched through the ceiling and by day the area shimmers in reflections of water and sunlight from above. Guestrooms combine white marble and blue accents – the colours of Mykonos – and the spa, which is purist in design, includes a large hammam, therapy pool and outdoor garden.
