BIID Announces CDM Helpline for Members
In response to the HSE's new CDM Regulations 2015, which came into force on the 6th of April 2015, the BIID is pleased to announce a new CDM Helpline for its members, in partnership with Priority Risk.
Key changes to the regulations include:
- The revised Regulations apply to all projects including domestic client projects;
- All projects must have a written construction phase plan;
- The role of CDM co-ordinator has been replaced with the new role of principal designer
- There is a duty to make sure all persons doing the job have the right skills, knowledge, training and experience
- A principal designer and principal contractor must be appointed on projects that have more than one contractor.
BIID members can now benefit from a free 30 minute consultation from Priority Risk in order to better understand the new rules.
To utilise this new benefit, please go to the Member Benefits Section of the BIID Members Area for more information.
