TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR BIID 2015 CONFERENCE

The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for its annual conference, which this year marks the Institute’s 50th anniversary and is themed around the thought-provoking platform, ‘Who do we think we are?’
Now firmly established in the design calendar, last year’s conference attracted an audience of more than 250 people, including interior designers, media and leading industry figures. Taking place on Thursday 18th June 2015 at RIBA’s London HQ, Portland Place, the 2015 conference will dissect the forces, both internal and external, that are changing the interior design profession. A line up of influential speakers will debate topics including: ‘What role has mass media played in the evolution of our profession?’ and ‘Does the role of the interior designer need to change in the face of the new "instant expert" culture?’
“We were delighted with the attendance and participation at last year’s conference,” comments Katherine Elworthy, Executive Manager of the BIID. “This year, we’re looking forward to more lively exchange of ideas, issues and debate as we celebrate the past fifty years of the profession, and look ahead to the future of interior design.”
The 2015 Annual Conference will also provide the opportunity to present the Institute's Honorary Fellowships created to recognise those who have had a profound impact on the development and success of the interior design profession.
