North London Project

We worked closely with the interior designer for this North London private family home to craft bespoke furniture for every room of this new build property.

A repeat client for Origins Design, we created all the upholstered furniture, metalwork and joinery that the interior designer required for her client’s new family home. The homeowner had requested an interior that was luxurious and comfortable, and this brief was applied to every piece we crafted.

The main challenge with this private home was the restricted lead times. The client needed to move into their home quickly which meant we had a relatively short time frame to create all the bespoke furniture and upholstery. To achieve all the luxurious and comfortable bespoke furniture that the homeowner wanted within the tight time frame, our technical design team and the interior designer were in constant contact.

A calm modern colour palette was decided upon for the project and we collaborated on the furniture design for each room. A dark stained oak with a delicate grain was selected for the joinery in all the main living spaces to match the architectural joinery and doors in the property. For the main living space, we designed and manufactured a media wall that housed a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a linear storage unit in dark stained oak below and antiqued mirrored glass to either side.
