A kitchen designed specifically to enhance the architectural features of this new extension, Ecomalta resin and stainless steel lacquer were chosen for their bold textures and industrial feel. The Ecomalta hand applied resin is durable and light enabling the unique suspended peninsula. The island was clad in Laminan ceramic giving the design a strong monolithic edge. Dyed oak veneer column units create warmth and contrast with the black steel architectural features.

The hidden pull out larder behind the hob is a real bonus. It can store a huge amount of food and is perfectly positioned for the cook. It helped create the structure for the laundry area and cloakroom and also doubles up as great storage, a win win.

The walls are stark white to accentuate the architectural features, similar to an art gallery. The floors are concrete effect ceramic tiles. The island worktop and rear cladding is also made from Laminam ceramic. The peninsula island is a special resin worktop designed to look like floating concrete, the matt white lacquered units behind it contrast perfectly to enhance this look.
