Speaking of Interiors Ltd project

South Kensington Residence

Speaking of Interiors was commissioned to lead the full refurbishment of this elegant three-bedroom Victorian flat on Old Brompton Road in South Kensington. Spanning two floors, the home was reconfigured to create generous, light-filled living and dining spaces upstairs, with private bedrooms tucked away below for a sense of calm and retreat.

Designed as the couple’s first family home, the interiors blend a distinctive Mid-Century Modern aesthetic with vibrant Mexican influences, carefully balanced with the property’s period architecture. Engineered walnut flooring grounds the scheme, while warm tones and bold accents inject personality and depth throughout.

Rich in texture and detail, the home features bespoke joinery in textured bronze laminate, artisanal porcelain finishes, soft furnishings, and curated artwork - all contributing to a sense of layered comfort. A reclaimed Calacatta Viola marble mantelpiece serves as a striking focal point, bridging old and new with quiet confidence.

The result is a relaxed yet refined South Kensington residence -full of warmth, individuality, and the thoughtful craftsmanship that defines Speaking of Interiors as a trusted interior designer in South West London.
