This spacious entranceway was looking a bit unloved and was used only as a thoroughfare to other parts of the house. As a high-footfall area and the first place a visitor sees upon arrival, our plan was to produce an impactful design, ensuring the space is a destination as well  as a place to simply pass through.   The colour palette chosen was picked specifically to brighten the area and accentuate the already beautiful features in the room. The covings, ceiling, staircase, door frames, and skirting boards have been purposely painted white to lift the room and stand out against the coloured walls. Herringbone wooden flooring gives the room a luxurious and warm finish. The flooring was chosen with not only design at the forefront but also practicality, in mind. Knowing that this will be a well-used area of the house, the space needs to be durable, and a dark wooden floor is ideal for heavy footfall. Geometric shapes are emulated to reflect  the art deco style of the property.
