STELRAD RADIATORS SELECTED FOR TWO NEW BUILD HOMES IN RURAL NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Stelrad radiators have been selected to provide the comfort heating upstairs in two prestige new build homes in rural Northamptonshire. The heating system for this pair of four bedroomed and three-bathroom homes is driven by an Ecodan heat pump which provides underfloor heating for the ground floor, whilst the radiators provide the heating for the upstairs rooms. Stelrad has supplied ten of its Compact with Style radiators for the two homes – including four verticals and one K3.  The very stylish Caliente Towel Rail has also been installed in six of the bathrooms. The company’s centre tap TRVs have been installed on the vertical radiators and the towel rails.

The houses have been built by local developer Roy Leeding Developments, with local plumbing and heating specialists C Whatton Plumbing and Heating installing the heating system. The Radiators were purchased via Plumbase in Wellingborough.

Stelrad’s Stuart Dixon advised both companies on the chosen radiators and even provided samples on site of the Compact with Style and the Centre Tap TRV.  Once the decision was made, the radiator sizes could then be ordered, ensuring the correct size was chosen to heat each room perfectly.

“These are two extremely attractive niche homes from a small rural developer operating around Northamptonshire,” says Stuart Dixon. “The requirement was for a premium radiator to match the style of these new homes and the Compact with Style with its smart lined casing fitted that requirement perfectly. It’s another great example of the use of our radiators with an air source heat pump, highlighting that radiators are more than capable of providing the levels of comfort heating required when a renewable heat source is installed. As always it’s about correctly sizing the radiators, to ensure the capacity to provide the levels of heating needed in the home and it was great to be able to sit down with the builders and the heating installers to confirm their decisions at the outset.”

“We’re very happy with the choice of radiators and the help Stuart gave us to get this selection right,” says Mark Leeding, Director of the building company. “Charles and I were sold on the Compact with Styles from the beginning, and they blend in well in the décor selected and offer the heating levels the new owners will benefit from in the colder months of the year. It’s been a very successful project, and we’re delighted with the outcome.”
