Stow Brothers Office, Hackney

The Stow Brothers Hackney office It is situated in the middle of busy Hackney Central, so we wanted to create an organic oasis full of natural materials, a sanctuary for the team and customers to escape from their busy, urban surroundings.

The outside environment also meant that acoustics were a big consideration, so I included wood wool acoustic panels in my design which are beautiful, sustainable, and highly functional.

I designed the space to have a shared open plan desk layout with employees facing each other, encouraging collaboration and good relationships.

The welcome area in is also a pop-up gallery space for local artists, which keeps the space fresh and everchanging whilst helping them promote and sell their work in the local community. 

I included shelving that was deep enough to house a variety of art, from paintings to small sculptures and ceramics, to allow as many artists as possible the opportunity to display their work.
